Rio Grande Southern Goose #5 in Delores Colorado, it was restored to working
condition a few years ago after being on static display for 40+ years.
Restored K-27 #463 on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad near Chama New Mexico
This is how 463 looked in 1993 before it was restored after setting in Antonito Colorado
for a number of years. It was donated to the town of Antonito by Gene Autrey who bought
it from the DRGW. He used the engine on his Melody Ranch movie set in California until
it burned down.
Here is 463 at the head of a train heading up the 4% grade to Cumbres Pass.
Originally one of a group of 15, K-27 Locomotives numbered 460-464, the 463
and it's sister engine the 464 are the only ones remaining. The 464 is also alive and well on
The Huckleberry Railroad in Flint Michigan.
